Our clients envisioned a modern home on Everglade Island that would include inward-facing outdoor spaces. A series of water features, moats, and elevated areas, including rooftop terraces, provide unique, relaxing experiences. The home required meticulously straight levels to build up the geometric massing. Glass railings complement natural stone slabs and the stucco exterior. A second smaller pool, known as a “Spool”, is a shallow spa pool over which a black arch serves as a rain generator. The exacting nature of the living room ceiling was achieved by meticulously cutting, color-matching, and installing the oak planks in a radiating diamond pattern. The bar area’s wood slat ceiling carries on to the outside, inviting an indoor/outdoor flow.
The complicated detailing brings a high level of artistry to the sleek lines of the home.
